About the Panelists
Dr. Yaron Brook is the executive chairman of the board of the Ayn Rand Institute. Brook can be heard on The Yaron Brook Show, which airs live on YouTube and Spreaker. He is also a frequent guest on national radio and television programs. In addition to podcasting and speaking globally, Dr. Brook authors works that inspire critical thinking. His most recent book, “In Pursuit of Wealth: The Moral Case for Finance,” makes the case that few industries are more vital to our prosperity – and more maligned – than the financial industry.
Dr. Tom Krannawitterholds a Ph.D. in political science from the School of Politics & Economics at the Claremont Graduate University, specializing in American political thought, classical and modern political philosophy, and political economy. He has taught at Claremont McKenna College, Hillsdale College, and George Mason University, among other schools. He is one of the principal instructors for the Leadership Program of the Rockies, and he frequently consults with organizations on improving communications, development, and strategic planning.
Michael Williams created the Defenders of Capitalism Project™ which provides standalone modules that teach the moral and historical case for laissez faire for campus, business, and community groups. Outside of Defenders of Capitalism Project™, Mike is the founder & president of ALTIUS Financial, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor. He brings over 30 years’ experience in financial planning and wealth management and has earned numerous client service and investment advisory awards. He speaks frequently to radio audiences, community and campus groups on investment and economic themes, and has toured internationally with the Free Market Road Show for the Austrian Economics Center. Mike is a member of the prestigious Mont Pelerin Society, and serves on the Board of the Steamboat Institute and is active with many public policy groups.
